Nicole Haynes, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 7, 1948, in Caraquet, New Brunswick, to Julien and Evelyn Cormier.
Nicole was a loving and kind soul who welcomed everyone with open arms. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel accepted and valued, and she cherished life in every moment. Known for her wonderful sense of humor, Nicole loved dressing up, telling jokes, and making people smile wherever she went. Her laughter and lighthearted spirit brought joy to countless lives.
Family meant everything to Nicole. She was endlessly proud of the accomplishments of those she loved and was always the first to celebrate others. She found joy in bringing people together, whether through volunteering at the Canada Games or proudly participating in parades celebrating her Acadian heritage. Nicole always found ways to enrich the lives of the people around her.
One of Nicole's greatest joys was a good game of cards with the love of her life, her husband Michael. If you walked into their home, chances were you would find the two of them playing a hand-and you would almost certainly be invited to join. Nicole's welcoming spirit made her home a place where everyone felt comfortable and included.
Nicole made friends everywhere she went, and her kindness reached far beyond those closest to her. She truly was a light in every room.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Haynes; her sons Christopher (Stacey) and Daniel (Michelle); her brothers Alyre (Louise) and Claude; her sisters Claire, Lorraine (Terry) and Claudette (William); her brother in-law Dave Howe; her grandson Daniel (Robyn); her great-grandchildren Karlee and Kale; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Julien and Evelyn Cormier; her brothers Rufin and Raymond; and her sister Jeanine.
Nicole will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, laughter, and the love she shared so freely.
We love you to the moon and back, Nicole
