Nancy Hazel (Garnett) White

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nancy Hazel White (nee Garnett) of White’s Mills, Summerville, N.B.  She was the daughter of Melvin and Gerthrude Garnett but was raised by Leroy and Rita Garnett. 

Sadly missed by her husband, Captain Norman White; her son, Andrew Vautour of Saint John; daughter, Bobbie Lynn Vautour of Nanaimo, B.C; stepdaughters, Angela and Ashley White; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Burt Garnett; sister, Debbie Perry (Miles) and a new found sister, Gail Gayland of Hamilton, ON as well as aunt, Edith McConchie, special friend, Norman Fowler of Sussex, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Nancy was the manager of the Nurses Residence and later worked in Medical Records and Administration with interns and residents at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  She was very creative and loved gardening and animals and taking little adventures, even black fly infested, vehicle breakdowns in the woods ending with two mile walk backs. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by some of her brothers and sisters.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will take place.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Whitehead Cemetery (23 White Head Wharf Road, Clifton Royal, NB) at 11am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
