It is with broken hearts that the family of Myron Delreighn Latta announces his sudden passing on June 21, 2025. Born in Middleton, NS, on May 25, 1959, he was the son of the late Truman and Verna (Sabean) Latta.
Myron spent many years working as a mechanical engineer with Bay Ferries aboard the Princess of Acadia. He was someone who believed in showing up and helping out—whether that meant lending a hand at the men’s shelter, getting involved in his community, or supporting causes he cared about, including local Conservative Party campaigns. He wasn’t one to sit on the sidelines.
Myron is survived by his loving partner of 35 years, Patricia Martin; his two children; sisters Alicia Eakin (John), Alexia Latta, Pauline Mitchell (Norval), and Virginia Neilly; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his step-daughter Elsa Medrano, sister Susan Marie Hebb (Jim), and brother William “Billy” Robert Latta.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). In keeping with Myron’s wishes, there will be no formal services. For those who wish, donations to Outflow Ministries or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
