Michelle C. Melanson

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michelle Catherine Melanson, which occurred on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.  Born on June 16th, 1987, in Saint John, she is the daughter of Ann Marie (Finnigan) and the late Philip Melanson.  Michelle enjoyed spending time outdoors, she loved dogs, swimming, music, drawing and photography.  She was kind-hearted and would help anyone in need.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her mother Ann Marie (James), Michelle is survived by her daughter Cianna Melanson (Kegan); son Michael Melanson (Brooklyn) and their father Michael (Stephanie); son Logan Israel; step-son Cooper Israel and their father Dalton; brother Matthew Melanson (Jackie); sister Suzan Melanson; grandchildren Everly, Remayah, Vida and Haddie; nieces Aleah and Kate; nephew Grant; as well as many friends.  Besides her father, Michelle was predeceased by her grandmothers Velma and Marie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, February 11th from 12 to 2 p.m.  A Funeral Service will take place in the Fundy chapel, beginning at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Michelle may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue, Coverdale or Hestia House.
