Michael John McNeil passed peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa on Monday, January 20th, 2026. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Michael was a son of the late Stephen and Angus (Stack) McNeil.
A quiet man by nature, he spent his working years as a Structural Draftsman, a career that suited his careful eye and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Michael enjoyed capturing moments through photography, spending time bowling, and, most especially, being at the hunting camp. Those days at camp held special meaning for him, particularly the time shared with his late brother Donald.
Michael was the last surviving member of his family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Francis, Wallace, Joseph, William, and David McNeil, and by his sisters Mary McNeil, Theresa McNeil, Margaret Doucet, and Elizabeth Gillis.
Michael will be remembered for his quiet presence, his love of simple routines, and the steady, unassuming way he lived his life.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506)-646-2424. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place with a private family burial taking place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
