Michael Carl Eatmon

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Michael Carl Eatmon announce his unexpected passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 17, 2018.  He was born in Saint John, NB on January 20, 1964 to the late Joan Eatmon and Carl Whittaker.

He liked to listen to music and ride his bike but Mike loved trains.  He loved collecting antique trains, going to train shows, and visiting rail yards in the city.  He seemed quiet until you got to know him and then he was bubbly and outgoing.  He was a very family oriented guy and took great care of his mother until her passing, and most recently he was the sole care giver to his brother Jeffery.  He was a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin and friend and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mike is survived by his three brothers; Jeffery, Daniel and Thomas Eatmon and his sister Ella “Penny” (Kevin) Anderson, special nieces and nephew Lemanda, Matthew and Melissa, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Francis Blair “Tony” Eatmon. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.  A funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 10am.  Memorial donations in Mike’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
