Mary "Winnie" Winifred Wall

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Winifred “Winnie” Wall, which occurred on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Escuminac, NB, on July 8, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Anne (Preston) Bransfield.

Winnie is survived by her loving husband, of 51 years, Terry Wall; sister Eleanor Levesque; sisters-in-law Clara and Marion Bransfield as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her special uncle Andy Bransfield; brothers Hazen and Stanley Bransfield, sister Marjorie Bransfield as well as four siblings in infancy.

Winnie graduated from business school in Saint John and went on to work at the Saint John Royal Bank before being transferred to Newcastle, where she met her husband, Terry. She then went on too many other part-time jobs, while supporting Terry’s career in the military. Winnie enjoyed, and was very good at, embroidering. She loved to read and to spend time with her extended family.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00 PM in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will be held in Escuminac Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Winnie’s memory may be made to the SPCA.
