Mary Jane Mannett

It is with broken hearts the family of Mary Jane Mannett, beloved wife of Barry Mannett, announces her passing on March 30, 2026, at home. Born in St. Stephen, NB, on December 28, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Bessie (Hatt) Barry.

Mary Jane had a zest for life that was evident in her favorite pastimes. She loved the thrill of playing bingo, whether it was at the hall in St. Martins or participating in the SPCA radio bingo. She also enjoyed playing cards, but loved nothing more than spending time with her cherished family.

Besides her husband Barry, Mary Jane is survived by her sons Victor (Lorraine) Mannett, Tyson Mannett, and Jason (Kelly) Mannett; grandchildren: Meghan (Andrew), Brandon (Veronica) Dustin (Rae), Jeremy (McKenzie), and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Noah, Aiden, Kennedy, Aubrey, Bridgett, Ember, Mason, and special great-grandson Grayson; siblings: Michael Barry, Jimmy (Daisy) Barry, Johnny (Ada) Barry, Janet (Charles) Leavitt, and Eldene (Elwood) Mannett; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and two sons Anthony (Tony) Mannett and Barry Mannett.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home. A private Celebration of Life for family will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Lakewood Headstart Association would be appreciated by family.
