Mary Elspeth Taylor

It is with great sadness the family of Mary Elspeth Taylor announce her passing on July 5, 2025, at Bobby's Hospice, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Mary had a deep love of writing and was known for her baking and cooking skills in her early years.  Her hospitality was well known among her friends and family.  She was born in Saint John, NB, to the late Ronald and Gertrude Delaney.  She is survived by her only son Kevin Taylor or Saint John, her brothers Keith Delaney and Kevin (Cecile) Delaney, as well as several nieces and nephews, her special spiritual sons Devon Burrell and Muhhamad Al-Jamali, her honorable life long friends the Pitre family.  Many thanks to Dr. Burnell, the Saint John Regional Hospital and the staff of Bobby's Hospice for all their care and support.  Special thank you to Steven Pitre for helping her son Kevin through this very difficult time.  

Mary is predeceased by her husband James Alexander Taylor and her brother Richard Delaney.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 10, from 12-2 PM.  A Funeral Liturgy will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.  For those that wish to make a memorial contribution the family requests that donations be made to Bobby's Hospice, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Saint John Street Team.
