Mary Patricia Sweet

It is with great sadness the family of Mary Patricia (Morton) Sweet, loving wife of Robert Sweet, announce her passing which occurred unexpectedly at her home on October 10, 2020. Born in Saint John on June 15, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Marion (Bailey) Morton.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons; Robert (Linda) and Michael (Kelley), her daughter, Cheryl Sweet (Tom), brothers; Bob Morton (Paulette) and Bruce Morton (Pam), sister, Janette Hartin, grandchildren; Tommy, Catherine, Brady and Bobby, and great-grandchild Jace along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Tina Marie Sweet, brother, David Morton and sister, Linda Carr.

She was an active part of the RCL Branch #63 and was a member of the Senior's Club which she was Treasurer. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, playing darts and doing puzzles. She was truly devoted to her family and her home.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. Following cremation, the memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th at 1:00 pm, from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Mosher Hill Cemetery. Please note masks are required for the visitation and memorial service. For those who wish, remembrances to NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canada Diabetes Association, the Canadian Arthritis Foundation, the RCL Branch #63 or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
