It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary Christine (Henderson) Sullivan, which occurred on Monday, June 6th, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1933, in Sussex, NB, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Bradley) Henderson.
In her earlier years, Mary worked as a Secretary at Calps Department Store. Later, she worked in the post office at Olsen’s General Store on Loch Lomond Road which later became Hal’s. Mary also worked at Woolco as a cashier until retirement in the early 90's. She was a devoted member of the Regency Towers Social Club and she enjoyed doing crafts.
Mary is survived by her daughter Catherine Sullivan; son Michael Sullivan (Charlene); brothers Gerald Henderson (Diane), Walter Henderson (Mona); sister Anne Amero; sister-in-law Rosemary Shannon; grandchildren Craig Sullivan (Rachel Kerzner), Michaela Sullivan (Sam Dionne), Michelle Sullivan; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Norman, brother John (Lona), father-in-law Raymond, mother-in-law Anna, sisters-in-law Carmel, Bridget, Rita, Theresa, and Marjorie; brothers-in-law James, Bill, Francis “Curly”, Clarence, David, and Gerald.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, June 10th from 12 to 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m., followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
