Mary Richard

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary (Bernard) Richard, which occurred at her home on Monday, November 16th, 2020, with her family by her side.  Born 1937, in New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Olive Bernard.  In her earlier years, Mary worked as an operating room nurse.  She loved bird watching and gardening.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting dish cloths. 

Mary is survived by her son Kevin Richard (Agnes) of Saint John; daughter Anne Marsden (Kevin) of Saint John; grandchildren Melissa LeBlanc (James), Marc Richard (Mae Jaime) and Michelle Richard (Matthew); as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her mother, Mary was predeceased by her husband James “JJ”.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  A Memorial Service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, November 19th at 2 p.m. with visitation taking place from 1 to 2 p.m.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Mary may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, The Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
