Mary Greta Laviolette

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary Greta (Doyle) Laviolette which occurred at her home on Thursday, December 30th, 2021.  Born 1928, in Jacquet River, NB  she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Roseanne (Daigle) Doyle.  Greta was a homemaker who loved gardening and flowers.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in the yard and she loved music and dancing. 

Greta is survived by her children Karen Silva (Jose), Darlene Armstrong (Mark Kennighan), Donna Pursey (Tony Veerkamp), Ronnie Laviolette, Melvin Laviolette, Glen Knowles (Linda) and Tracey Knowles; brothers Leslie Doyle (Barbara), Joseph Doyle, Patrick Doyle; sisters Pina Cooney, Evelyn Doyle; grandchildren Vanessa, Justin, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Sergio and Mary; great-grandchildren Lily, Colby, Isla, Sophie, Landon and Sawyer; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with her parents, Greta was predeceased by her husband Joseph William; brothers Edgar, Robert and Howard; sisters Florence, Gladys and Mary and sons-in-law Phillip Pursey and John Armstrong.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Private services will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Greta may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  To send a message of condolence, please visit www.fundyfuneralhome.com
