Mark J. Boyce

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mark James Boyce which occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, May 21st, 2020.  Born 1965, in Saint John, spending a lot of time at the family camp in Kingston, he was the son of the late Tom and Betty (LeClair) Boyce.  In his earlier years, Mark worked as a Scaffolder with Jacobs and Aluma Systems as well as A-Z Rentals.  He was a jack of all trades.  He loved playing hockey, tinkering with vehicles, doing yard work and telling the best dad jokes.  Mark was a loving and devoted father.  His children and grandson were his pride and joy.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Mark is survived by his sons Richard “Dick” Boyce (Becky) of Fredericton, Josh Boyce of Saint John; daughter Laurissa Boyce of Saint John; brother Michael Boyce (Maureen) of Vancouver; sisters Susan Seely of Kingston, Patty Rasch (Stephen) of Saint John; grandson Rowan; uncle Joe Boyce; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother-in-law Greg.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Mark’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.  A private graveside service will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.  Donations in memory of Mark may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
