Welcome to the memorial page for

Marjorie "Marj" Nagle

July 3, 1941 ~ January 5, 2015 (age 73) 73 Years Old
With heavy and broken hearts, the family of Alice Marjorie Nagle announce her peaceful passing on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Sussex Health Centre with loving family by her side.   Born in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Clarence Amirault and Alice Hatfield-Amirault and beloved wife and best friend for 50+ years to Darrell Nagle.

Marjorie was employed by the Scotia Bank for 25 years, retiring in 2000.  She loved hockey and was very active behind the scenes in many leagues over the years.  While in Saint John, Marj was the President of the Saint John Flames Booster Club, the Ignitors, and also bowled in various leagues.

Following retirement, she and Darrell were drawn to the Sussex area.  Their many years camping at Pine Cone Campground, where several of their greatest friendships developed, determined their next place to call home.  The camp in Penobsquis was extensively renovated in 2004 and the next chapter of family life was written.  Marj was a member of the Sussex Health Centre Auxiliary and continued to bowl after leaving Saint John.  She loved fireworks and hot air balloons and she and Darrell have been making the trip to New Hampshire since 1994 to watch the NASCAR Races.

Marjorie was a wonderful wife and mother.  Family came first, but friends were so very important as well.  She was unselfishly giving of her time and she loved to be with people.  Marj touched so many lives.  She was fun loving and spirited with a zest for life and adventure.

In addition to her loving husband Darrell, Marjorie is survived by her children, daughter Shelley Nagle, Halifax, NS and son Robin Hatfield, Calgary, AB., her brother Robert (Carol) Hatfield, Quispamsis, NB., grandchildren Latisha Fulton and Vanessa and Jordan Hatfield, great grandchildren  Victoria, Jude, Ainsley and Ava and many much loved, extended family members and friends.  We “Love You To The Moon And Back” sweet Marjorie. Special thanks go to the Nurses and Palliative Care team at the Sussex Health Centre for their kind and compassionate care of our Marjorie.

Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Honouring Marj’s wishes, cremation will take place.  A Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015 from the Penobsquis Baptist Church at 11 am with Rev.
