It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marjorie Loreen Mills announce her passing, which occurred in Saint John, New Brunswick on February 9, 2026. Born in Pool’s Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador on September 28, 1946, Marjorie lived a life grounded in faith, family, and quiet devotion to those she loved.
Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Leander “Len” Mills; her parents, Cyril and Daisy (Williams); her brothers, Howard (Doris) and Charles Brown; and her cherished grandson, Tyler Mills.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children: Todd (Bonnie) of Truro, Lori (Dwain) Jones of Saint John, and Leanne (Thayne) Clayton of St. Martins, NB. She is also survived by her brother Cyril (Anne) and her sisters Dulcie (Frank) Davidge, Marilyn (Steven) Butt, and Doreen (Winston) Waye. Marjorie’s legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren, Cheyanne, Christopher (Michaela), Courtney, Cody, Geoffrey, Kyle, and Zachary (Genee), as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Paisley, Bailey, Addison, Kylah, Maisie, Avery, and Josie. She also leaves behind her faithful feline companion, Marley, who brought her comfort and companionship over the years.
Throughout her life, Marjorie devoted herself to serving others. She worked as a teacher and later as an office administrator, and many will fondly remember her dedicated service with the Canadian Bible Society. A woman of deep faith, Marjorie was a devoted member of the United Church Women (UCW) and lived her beliefs through kindness, compassion, and a strong sense of community. Beyond all else, her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family — nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
