Marion A. Anderson

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Marion Agnes (Simonds) Anderson which occurred at Kennebec Manor on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020.  Born 1939, in North Hampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Annie Mae (Calder) Simonds.  Marion worked at Sears and was a cook at A&W.  In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening and knitting.  She loved spending time outdoors and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   

Marion is survived by her daughters Louise Romikat (Alvin) of Morrisdale, NB, Susan Ervin (Michael) Grand Bay-Westfield, Debbie Zed (Derek) of Miramichi, NB, Georgette Anderson (Trent Boone) of Eagle Rock, NB; daughter-in-law Joan; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband Irvin, son Bruce, brother Eldon and sisters Margaret and Gladys.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Marion’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private graveside service will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
