Marie Lorraine Marsh

It is with great sadness the family of Marie Lorraine Marsh announce her passing on Monday, June 22, 2026 at the age of 91. She was born in Saint John, NB to Mathius and Florence (Fitzgerald) Marsh.  

Marie had various administrative positions during her working life which included working for Vipond Fire Protection where she retired after 25 years of service.  During that time she made many wonderful friends and memories.  Marie also loved going to dances and playing the fiddle, an interest she discovered  later in life.  She was never one to turn down a good jam session. Marie loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. 

Her loss will be deeply felt by her children Peter Ryan (Lana) and Kim Milburn Sherwood (Rob), her grandson Michael Milburn (Zoe), her sisters Shirley March McPhee and Elaine McFate as well as her long time companion Art Wallace.  

Marie is predeceased by her sons Stephen Ryan and David Ryan and by her sister Marilyn Gogan.

The family of Marie would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ridgewood Veterans Wing. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 26th at 3:00 PM in the Fundy Chapel.  Internment to take place at a later date. For those that wish, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
