Margaret Ann Dixon

It is with broken hearts the family of Margaret Ann Dixon, loving wife of Peter Dixon, wish to announce her passing which occurred on June 20, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  Born on November 17, 1942, in Dorchester, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Goodwin) Manship.

Margaret had been employed as a Food Services Supervisor with both St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital before her retirement.  She was Past Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter #34 and was a past member of the Daughters of the Nile.  She enjoyed swimming and knitting.  She loved being the MC of the Lorneville Jam on Thursday nights.  Her most beautiful characteristic was how she just loved everyone. 

Besides her husband Peter, she is survived by her son Frank (Darcy), daughters; Lorna Dixon, Doris Adams and Heather Dixon (Andy Girouard), her grandchildren; Peter, Daryl, Tony, Travis, Anna, Alicia, and Becca, her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Blake, Jackson, Sophie and Ben, along with cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her grandson Charlie Adams, brother Maynard Manship and sister Doris Fillmore.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, (506-646-2424).  Following cremation, a family graveside service will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.  Remembrances made to a local food bank or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
