Malcolm "Mac" Lewis Buckley

Malcolm Lewis Buckley (Mac) age 86 passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his daughters by his side.  Macolm was born on March 21, 1939 to James and Mildred Buckley.

Malcolm is survived by his 2 daughters Krista Lynn Bonnevie of Saint John, Janet Mabee Buckley (Mark) of Rowley NB, 2 granddaughters Samantha Mabee (Chris) Collina NB and Melanie Bonnevie (Tyler) Grandbay. 5 great grandchildren Katie, Aubree, Chloe, Owen, Avery. He was also survived by his Brothers Fred Buckley Saint John and Allan Buckley ON. Malcom was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Malcolm had a deep connection to Will, Pam, Pat, Tina, Kevin, Gloria and Alyssa (The Girl).  Malcolm was predeceased by his wife Mary McNamara Buckley, his grandson Devon Mabee and his brother James Buckley.

Malcolm worked for the DOT upon retirement; he enjoyed fishing trips to Salmon River with his fishing buddies. He also enjoyed spending time at “The Camp” in East Scotch Settlement with family. He was a previous member of the Saint John Lancaster Lions Club.

The family would like to thank 3CN and Palliative Care Unit for the extraordinary care and a special thank you to Pi Pi (The Flirt) who made our dads day everyday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, January 12th at 10:00 AM at Fernhill Cemetery .  For those that wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation, Christopher Court Foundation or the SPCA.
