M. Ida Sherwood

With profound sadness, we share the passing of Margaret Ida Sherwood at Rocmaura nursing home on Sunday June 22nd. A deeply loved wife, mother,  sister, aunt and friend.  Her family and friends were her greatest joy, and she supported them in every way she could.   Her home was always open to anyone that wanted inside, and was filled with love, care, laughter and her fantastic cooking, especially her baking. 

Born in Saint John NB on March 9th 1944 to Hazel and Harold Whelpley,  Ida cherished her family.  She leaves behind her beloved husband John, and daughter Beth along with numerous family and friends who adored her. 

She was predeceased by her children, Steven and Sherry (Frank) Sherwood.  Her passing has left an ache in our hearts, and she will be missed.  She was the rock of our family and left memories that will forever glow in the souls of those who loved her. 

No formal service will be held; a private service will be done with family at the nursing home to celebrate the life of this amazing woman.
