With sadness and peace, her family announces the passing of M. Elouise Caulfield (Nee Page), who passed away on September 29, 2025, surrounded by her family at home.
Born in McAdam, NB, on May 19, 1925, Elouise lived a long and full life enjoying her early years growing up in McAdam with friends and family. Elouise loved performing talent shows, tap dancing concerts and participating in lively sing songs around the family piano.
Elouise married the love of her life, Glendon Caulfield “Snooks” on June 10, 1944. They met at their workplace, the McAdam Railway Station. Elouise and Snooks spent over 69 years together at their home in Westfield Beach. They enjoyed raising their two children, Carmen and Anne. Together they enjoyed gardening, strolling on their woodlots, canoeing on the river and at the “lake”, as well as travelling.
They were devoted grandparents to their two granddaughters, Cheryth and Tara LeBlanc, as well as the neighbourhood children to whom they were “Gram and Gramps”.
Elouise reflected her deep faith in her Lord and Saviour, participating in activities in her local Grand Bay Baptist Church including teaching Sunday School and directing the Junior Choir; she also enjoyed many years leading her Women's Bible Study and neighborhood Sunday School.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Anne and Roy LeBlanc, granddaughters Cheryth and Tara LeBlanc, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elouise was predeceased by her beloved son, Carmen (2010), devoted husband Glendon (2013), her parents John and Elizabeth Page, siblings John, Merriam Gillis, Alfred, Velma Moffitt, and their respected spouses Beryl, Joseph, Charlene, Eugene, as well as special brother-in-law Milton “Toadie” Caulfield and spouse Thelma.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to her attentive caregivers, Carol Acheson, Heather Baxter, Lori Buckley, Jenn Hubbard, Fran Broughton, Cindy Evans, and the late Kathy Calder, whose tender care enabled Elouise to remain in her own home. Also, thanks to nurse Julie, the Extra Mural Team, as well as Ambulance NB caring attendants who visited her home intermittently including her last hours to help make her passing comfortable.
A very special thank you to Pastor Malcolm Beckett whose visits Mom looked forward to, enjoying many laughs, and times of devotion and prayer.
