Lynda Christine Hughes

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lynda Christine Hughes announce her unexpected passing on Thursday June 9, 2022. Lynda was born on North Bay, ON, on April 7, 1955, and was the daughter of the late Alan and Martha Jones. Lynda worked as a cleaner at Brunswick Square for many years, where she was well respected by staff and store owners. She had a passion for knitting; she enjoyed reading, gardening, and collecting owls.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Stephen Hughes; her son Mark Hughes; brothers Ken, David (Diane), Paul; sisters Holly, Donna, Susan, Melody (Denis), Pamela (Rob), Kim, Carrie-Lynn and Mellissa; sister-in-law Pamela and her son Josh; brother-in-law Leonard Hughes; special cousin Kathy and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Richard Hughes, in-laws Reginald (Carol) Hughes and sister-in-law Karen.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of 3A South and 5A North (SJRH) for the wonderful care Lynda received from all of you.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road where visitation will be held on Monday June 13, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Celebration of her Life will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10am. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
