On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Lucien “Moose” Jacques Joseph Comeau passed away peacefully at the age of 81. Born in Neguac, NB on October 22, 1944, he was a son of the late Albert and Catherine (nee. Legere) Comeau.
Moose is survived by his 7 children: Donald, Louis, Ronald, Yvonne, Roland, Cathy, and Patricia; siblings: Venance Comeau (Julie Lagace), Robert (Nancy) Comeau, Gerard Comeau, Carmella Malley, Marie (Ron) Curran, Exceline (Alexander) Doiron, and Delcia McLean; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Besides his parents, Moose was predeceased by his two sons Yvon and Robert Comeau, and grandson Brendon.
Moose had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. In his early years, he enlisted in the military and was stationed at the North Shore Regiment. Moose then became a long-haul truck driver, making friends from B.C. to Newfoundland. He truly loved his job and travelled the open roads across Canada for over 30 years.
Having a deep passion for music, Moose became a talented player of the fiddle, guitar, and mandolin.

In respecting Moose’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery (327 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2L 3V1).
