With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the peaceful passing of Lorraine Henry at her home on Watling Crescent in Oromocto, NB, surrounded by her devoted partner and loving family. Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved parents, Hazel and Raymond Henry.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Darrell Boland; her children, Andrew Lambert and Catherine Wyman (Christian); and her treasured grandchildren, Cash Lambert, Mackenzie Wyman, Arabelle Wyman, and CJ (Christian James) Wyman, who were the absolute joy of her life. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings Mike Henry (Marianne), Sherry Henry (Brian London), Linda Russell (Mike) and Cindy McBrine (Jimmy).
Born in Saint John, NB, Lorraine dedicated her career to caring for others. She worked for 28 years at the Saint John Regional Hospital and proudly graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1996 with honors. A natural leader and mentor, she served as a peer tutor and class treasurer in her Nursing Assistant class. Her career also included work as a clinical study coordinator for a urologist and as the New Brunswick Provincial Representative for the Urology Nurses of Canada — roles that reflected both her compassion and commitment to excellence.
Lorraine embraced life with enthusiasm and adventure. She loved jet skiing, kayaking, polar dipping, hiking, camping with her cherished lake friends, and curling in support of mental health initiatives. Above all else, her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren, who held her heart completely.
Lorraine was deeply grateful for the opportunity to remain in her home, supported with love and care by her partner and family, as well as the compassionate teams at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation, EMP Oromocto, the ALS Society, and her dedicated home care workers. Their kindness and support meant the world to her.
Lorraine’s warmth, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
