Lloyd Lester Sherwood

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lloyd Lester Sherwood which occurred at home on Friday, May 8th, 2020 after a battle of 13 years with leukemia and other health issues. Born in 1941 in Upham, NB, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Gillcrist) Sherwood.

His working careers involved being an owner/operator truck driver and working for Irving Oil Ltd. for 33 years. He enjoyed attending stock car races and watching baseball and hockey. His special interest was working with his own farm equipment clearing land.

Lloyd is survived by his loving, devoted, love of his life and caring wife Donna (Black) of 53 years, daughter Vonna (Gary), son Blaine and grandchildren Shanna (Matt), Brendon, Gracie and Taylor. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He will be remembered always. He is also survived by his sisters; Marion, Valerie (Moyle) and brother Larry (Kelly), nieces, nephews and special son-in-law Gary. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brother Edward.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to the current health crisis a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Remembrances made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
