Lloyd Francis Cosman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lloyd Francis Cosman on November 11, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Saint John on August 3, 1954 to the late Frank and Ella (Harding) Green and was the loving husband of 33 years to his wife Darlene (MacDougall) Cosman. 

Lloyd worked as a Marine Engineer with Coastal Transport for over 30 years, working as the Chief Engineer on the Grand Manan Ferry.  He was very disciplined and capable in his work and very confident in his abilities.  His sarcasm was evident but always with humour.  He loved to cook and he loved to eat.  He was a huge fan of the Toronto Raptors, and also enjoyed watching hockey.  Lloyd loved music and gardening, but above all, he loved his family.  His grandchildren just took to him so well, like he was a kid himself.  He was a very supportive father to his children and a very loving husband.  He created a lot of lasting memories throughout his life and will be deeply missed but always fondly remembered. 

In addition to his wife Darlene, he is survived by his children, Jason (Caryl), Jillian, Alexander (Malorie) and James (Edwina); grandchildren, Adrian, Brayden and Octavia; siblings, Charles (Linda), Brian (Diane), Paul (Kathy), Gerald (Alanna), Deborah (Robert), Blair (Frances) and Dawn; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 1-2:30 pm, with a funeral liturgy following in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 3 pm and a reception in the Fundy Funeral Home Reception centre at 4 pm. Interment will take place at a later date.  For those who wish, memorial donations in Lloyd’s memory to the Rocmaura Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
