It is with broken hearts that the family of Linda Lou (Bannan) Dempster, loving wife of Leonard Dempster, wish to announce her passing which occurred on July 8, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, October 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Iris (Millman) Bannan.
She worked at various jobs, but the most important thing to her was her role as ‘stay at home Mom.’ Her family was what she cherished most in life, which included her beloved dog, Foxy. She had a great love of nature that included flowers and gardens and bird watching. Linda would often catch people’s attention with her fancy nails. She and Leonard enjoyed listening to music and often enjoyed meeting their friends and dancing at Bleachers.
Besides her husband Leonard, she is survived by her daughters, Aretha Dempster (Ricky) and Lena Dempster, her grandchildren; Dominque and Devin Chevarie, Taylor Graham (Kyle), and Mitchell Fudge, her great-grandchildren; Renee-Lynn, Aubrey, Callen and her newest great grandbaby that’s on her way, along with extended family and a host of dear friends.
She was predeceased by her son Sean Leonard.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). Following cremation, the family will receive family and friends, at the funeral home, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at which time the service will take place in Fundy Chapel. Flowers are definitely welcomed, but remembrances of the donor’s choice would also be appreciated.
