Linda Moulton

Linda Moulton, affectionately known as Linda Lou was born September 10th 1952 in Saint John, New Brunswick. She passed away peacefully on December 20, 2021 at Loch Lomond Villa where she had been happily residing since 2010. She was predeceased by her twin sister Shirley Moulton, a sister Marilyn Moulton, and a brother Harold Moulton.

She was affectionately known as the Peace Lady of the West Side and for many years was an iconic figure to the city. She could be found with her cut out sign and her arm boldly raised displaying “peace” to the cars as they drove over the Reversing Falls Bridge. At the Villa, she enjoyed working on scrapbooks with articles and pictures that she found in local newspapers.

Linda’s life was not an easy one and she had limited mobility, but where there was a will there was a way, and she found her way to her little spot every day where she was like an advertisement to the city spreading cheer and good will. Linda was full of charm and personality. She may have been small lady but she had a big personality and anyone that challenged her would hear from her. If she liked you you were her friend for life and if she didn’t she let you know.

She had many close friends at Loch Lomond Villa who became her extended family. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. She has now reunited with her twin sister Shirley and is spreading peace and love from above.

Linda is resting peacefully at Fernhill where she will be interred with her sister Shirley. A celebration of life will be held by her friends at Loch Lomond Villa.
