Linda M. Hartin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Marie (Grant) Hartin which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, August 31st, 2018.  Born 1948, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Edith (Walton) Grant.  Linda worked for NB Tel for 32 years before retiring in 1998.  She then moved to Phoenix Arizona where she made many cherished memories and lifelong friends. Linda was a Life Member of the Telephone Pioneers.  She loved to sing karaoke with Del Worden and dance with her friends at the Legion 69 Branch.  She loved listening to country music and attending shows.  She looked forward to Wednesday night ‘Girls Night” at her home.  Linda adored her grandchildren and spoiling them was her greatest joy. 

Linda is survived by the light of her life, best friend and companion Jimmy Montague of Saint John; her children Cory Hartin (Christine) of Moncton, Sandi Brideau (Mark) of Saint John, Shelley Gallant (Daniel) of Riverview; sister Vicky Raynes (Robert) of Saint John; sister-in-law Valerie Grant; grandchildren Benjamin, Emily, Dean, Carter, Grayson, Abby and Jordan; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband David and brothers Daniel and Brian.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
