Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leslie Douglas Robertson, which occurred on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Kennebec Manor. Born in Ripples, NB, he was a son of the late Leslie and Dorothy (Edwards) Robertson.

Leslie was the mayor of Cambridge Narrows from 1984-1988. He was a true jack of all trades and an avid hunter. He was heavily involved in his community and was on the board for many organizations. He worked as a machinist for Red Rose Tea, a Molder for McAvity & Sons, Engineer for central heating at Camp Gagetown, and finished his career as the Mechanical Superintendent at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Leslie is survived by his stepchildren Barbara Lamb (Tim), Elizabeth Shepherd (Robert), Cheryl Green (Rob), and Lloyd Charlton (Kathleen); brother Ralph (Lois); sister Rose Goldsmith (Bill), 4 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Catherine (Fanjoy) Robertson, second wife Arlene (Kierstead) Robertson, brother Carl Robertson, and infant sister Verna Robertson.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following.
