The family announces the passing of Leslie Madeline (Parfitt) Beckwith which occurred on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1933, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Harold and Madeline Dora (Seeley) Parfitt. Leslie worked for F.W. Woolworth Company in Saint John for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and doing craft work.
Leslie is survived by her loving and devoted husband Randy Beckwith of 60 years; children Mark Beckwith (Debbie), Heather Goudreau, Philip Beckwith (Karen) all of Saint John; brothers Edward “Ted” Parfitt of Nova Scotia, David Parfitt of Penobsquis; grandchildren Amanda Beckwith, Andrew Beckwith, Alex Goudreau, Matthieu Goudreau, Kassandra Goudreau, Morgan Beckwith, Marissa Beckwith; great grandchildren Oliver Beckwith and Lincoln Beckwith; special friends Marlene and Ricky Sullivan; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Leslie was predeceased by her son Paul, sisters Mary and Eileen, son-in-law Pierre and sisters-in-law Kay and Evie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, January 10th from 2 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, January 11th at 10 a.m. A private family interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations in memory of Leslie may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, the Saint John Regional Hospital Cardiac Unit or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
