Leonard Lawrence Savoy

It is with profound sadness that the family of Leonard Lawrence Savoy, loving husband of 60 years to Dolores (Savoie) Savoy, announce his passing which occurred on June 25, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Cowan Creek, Gloucester Co., NB, he was the son of the late William and Melanie (Gionet) Savoy.

Leonard was an Electrician by trade and had worked on several projects throughout New Brunswick over the years.  He was a business partner with Wye Electric Ltd. and had owned the D&L Convenience Store.  Leonard and Dolores were inseparable for over 62 years and would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on July 14th of this year.

Besides his wife Dolorese, he is survived by his daughters; Doreen Doucet, Pauline Savoy and Frances Steinthorson (David), sisters; Ethel Savoy and Arlene Sullivan, his grandchildren; Bobbie Jean Savoy (Mike), Catlen Savoy (Kathryn), Jessica Elliott (Lisa), and Kayla Doucet, his great-grandchildren; Janessa, Madison, Ella, Connor, Parker, Aria, Hannah, Jasper, Joseph, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 10-11am at which time the Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Leonard’s family would appreciate memorial donations to be made either to the New Brunswick Heart & Stoke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
