LANG, LEONARD J.

With heavy hearts, the family of Mr. Leonard J. Lang announces his passing, which occurred on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018, at Shannex Embassy Hall. Born in Saint John on May 28, 1928 to the late Alexander and Alvina (Leger) Lang, Leonard was the loving husband to the late Alexina Lang for 64 cherished years.

He was employed with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW #502), retiring in 1985 after 30 dedicated years of service.  Leonard was also apart of the Saint John Horseshoe Club and the Westside Seniors Bowlers.

Leonard is survived by his loving children; Bruce John (Maureen), Paul Leonard (Eleanor), Rosemarie (Deryl) Fitzgerald and Susan Marie (Kevin) Dunn. He is also survived by his sisters; Doreen (Percy) Praught and Betty Murphy.  Leonard will be remembered by his grandchildren; Hollie, Derek, Marcus, Stephen, Cory, Jessica and Reilly great grandchildren; Hailey, Hilary, Emilia, Simon, Henry, MacKenzie, Lucas and Paige.

In addition to his parents, Leonard was predeceased by his sisters Jean Lang, Eva Bailey, Theresa Richard and brother Norman Lang.

Leonard will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Friday, October 5th, 2018 between 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 2:30 PM from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
