Leonard Vernon Gilliland

It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Vernon Gilliland, loving husband of Marion (Goguen) Gilliland, announce his passing which occurred after a period of declining health on April 10, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  He was born May 1, 1945, to the late Leonard William and Margaret Rose (Burns) Gilliland.

He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force before starting his career as a carpenter.

Besides his wife Marion, he is survived by his son Mark, brothers; Rev. George Gilliland and Danny Gilliland, sisters; Alice (Bill) Sinclair and Anne Boom, along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his daughter Marie Rosella, brothers; James, Anthony and David, and sisters Margaret MacDonald and Joan Fowler.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, (646-2424). Interment be take place on June 9, 2023, 11:00am, at St Bridget's Cemetery, Chapel Grove.
