Lawrence "Larry" Robichaud Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence “Larry” Robichaud on June 16, 2025, at the age of 70, in Saint John, New Brunswick.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 47 years, Huguette (Landry) Robichaud; his two children Dale Robichaud, and Natasha Robichaud (Jason Latimer), and his beloved grandson Quinten. Also left to mourn his loss are his brother John Robichaud (Pam) and his sister Lois Couillard.

Larry proudly worked for the City of Saint John for over 25 years, most of that time with the Parks Department. He took great pride in keeping his city looking its best — from plowing snow in the winter to planting flowers and mowing lawns in the summer. Earlier in life, he worked in construction and helped build Market Square, something he was proud to say he had a hand in.

Born and raised in the North End, Larry was a true Indiantown original. He never lost his deep connection to the neighbourhood and loved talking about how it used to be — the people, the stories, the changes over the years. Whether you were from around the corner or just passing through, if you brought up Indiantown, Larry had a story to share. He carried a deep pride for where he came from and believed in the strength and character of the Old North End community.

Larry shared 47 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Huguette, creating a lifetime of memories together. He loved going for country drives in his ’79 Cadillac with her, relaxing on the deck with a magazine or a good history book, people watching, and spending time with his cherished grandson.

He will be remembered for his deep roots in the North End, his pride in his work, and the simple pleasures he never took for granted. His stories, his presence, and his love will be missed more than words can say.
