DOBSON, KIMBERLY GAYLE – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Kimberly Gayle (MacFadyen) Dobson, which occurred on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 6th, 1968, in Charlottetown, PEI, she is the daughter of Janet (Waddell) and the late Curtis MacFadyen.
Kim spent many years in the hospitality industry. There are so many people who met Kim and became friends with her through her work over the years at Crowes Place/Kaceys, Bow Ties, The Three Mile and The Med. Kim rekindled and made many new friends with her work at Kingsway Care Home. Anyone who met Kim, wanted to be her friend. One of Kim's passions was driving her Harley. She enjoyed the road trips with her husband and son and other family members and friends. Kim loved to cook with her daughter in her beautiful kitchen. She also loved four-wheeling, camping, traveling, bonfires, lots of music and family time on the beautiful sandbars in PEI.
Kim’s main passion was the love of her family. Kim’s biggest accomplishment was herself and Kelly raising their two wonderful children, Nic and Mel. She was beyond proud of the beautiful people they became and to have been their mom. Kim cherished every moment spent with her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Kim wanted everyone to Live, Love, Laugh and Be Kind to one another!
Kim is survived by her loving husband Kelly of 35 years; son Nicholas Dobson (Emma); daughter Melanie Dobson (Steve & daughter Charlotte) and special grandson on the way; brother Wade MacFadyen (Wendi); sisters Joanne Hughes (Kevin), Bev Long (Dave); many cherished nieces & nephews, father-in-law Jamie Dobson; brothers-in-law Kevin Dobson (Pam) and Kurt Dobson (Heather); and many cousins and friends.
Along with her father, Kim was predeceased by her mother-in-law June.
The family would like to thank the Saint John Oncology Department, Extra Mural, Dr. Sarah Caines and Dr. Christian Mackin for the wonderful compassionate care that they provided.
