Kevin Gerard O'Toole

It is with sadness that the family of Kevin Gerard O'Toole announce his sudden and unexpected passing at the Saint John Regional hospital on Dec 30, 2025. Born in North Sydney, N.S. on Oct 12, 1955, the son of the late Francis John and Ann Elizabeth (nee Wall) O'Toole.

Kevin is survived by his partner of 48 years, Gary Mason, one brother, Edward (Joanne), of Mississauga, Ontario, four sisters, Marlene (Wayne) Wallace, Theresa O'Toole, Elizabeth (Tim) Parsons and Patsy O'Toole, all of North Sydney, NS; extended family, Mason siblings, Dianne ("Honey") Summerville and Eugene "Gene" both of Saint John.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Brian and Louie; two sisters, Jacinti ("Cinty") Miles, Linda MacLeod, all of North Sydney; extended family, Mason siblings, Abbie, Muriel, Jack, June, Joe and Lorna, all of Saint John.

In his earlier years Kevin enjoyed working as a colour consultant and paint store manager in Toronto, Ontario. In later years as a paint associate with Home Depot, Saint John.

Kevin was a man of great kindness and good heart. He was a great cook and enjoyed hosting elaborate dinner parties. He was a collector and thoroughly enjoyed visiting antique and collectable stores and markets. His hobby was abstract acrylic painting on canvas.

As per known wishes, there will not be any visitation or service.
