Kevin L. Hicks

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing Kevin Lee Hicks, which occurred on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on January 25th, 1976, in Saint John, he is the son of Dwight and Elizabeth (Bartlett) Hicks.  Kevin was an Outside Worker with Local 18.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and he loved animals, especially his puppy Dublin.  Kevin was a social butterfly, he loved people and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, Kevin is survived by his loving and devoted wife Chandra (VanDuzee) of 26 years; son Matthew Hicks of Saint John; daughter Caelyn Hicks (Sam) of Kingston, NB; as well as many friends.  Kevin was predeceased by his grandmother Marie Bartlett and his uncle Dana Bartlett.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  As per Kevin’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Kevin may be made to the NB Organ & Tissue Donation Program (https://friendsfoundation.ca/) or to the NB Lung Association.
