With heavy hearts, the family of Kevin Joseph Estey announces his passing on September 7, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, Kevin was the son of the late Frances Arnem and Ian Estey.
In his early years, Kevin worked as a licensed mechanic, a trade where his natural talent and skill shone through. Following his father’s passing, he proudly carried on the family legacy by owning and operating Estey Driver Education. Kevin had a lifelong passion for driving and being on the road, something he was able to share with countless students over the years.
Kevin will be remembered as a caring, determined, and dependable man who always looked out for others. He found joy in deer hunting, stock car racing, and motorcycle rides, as well as boating and working with heavy equipment. A loyal NASCAR fan, Kevin loved keeping busy, but he also cherished the simple moments—especially time spent over coffee at Tim Hortons with friends.
He will be profoundly missed by his devoted wife of 49 years, Pauline (Pursey) Estey; his sons Joseph (Stephanie) and John (Jenn); grandchildren Colby, Julia, and Jackson; stepfather Bob Arnem; stepmother June Estey; stepsister Darlene MacDonald; mother-in-law Alice Pursey; sisters-in-law Bonny Estey and Pam Burhoe; brothers-in-law Rob Pursey (Dee) and James Pursey (Tina); his beloved canine companions, Tiny and Mia; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by his brother Brian Estey; sister Brenda Hedburg (Bud Jenkins); father-in-law Bob Pursey; and brothers-in-law Phil Pursey, Mark Pursey, Ian Burhoe and stepsister Linda Keyes.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will take place in the Fundy Chapel on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
