It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Kevin Blake Barton, which occurred on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 26th, 1958, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Gloria Barton. Kevin worked as a Brakeman and Locomotive Engineer for CP Rail and later went on to work as an Industrial Plumber before retiring in 2013. He loved the outdoors, living off the grid, surrounded by the environment that he always dreamed of. He enjoyed tinkering and he always had a project on the go. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his sons Robert Barton (Tammy) of Kingston Peninsula, Michael Barton (Lisa) of Nova Scotia; sister Pamela Harrity (Stephen) of Saint John; grandchildren Elizabeth and Darrian Barton; nephew Nathan Steeves; as well as many friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). As per Kevin’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Kevin may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
