Kenneth Buchanan Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Douglas Buchanan announces his passing which occurred at his residence on February 14th, 2021. He was born in Sussex, NB on December 18th, 1955 to the late Donald and Yvonne (Parlee) Buchanan.

Kenny was a proud member of Local 325 and spent 35 dedicated years working as a Sprinkler Fitter for Viking Fire Protection. He will always be remembered as a ‘Family Man’ who cherished his time spent on the Belleisle Bay keeping tradition alive by hosting family suppers.

Kenny was an active man, who truly enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing, hunting and taking many rides on his motorcycle.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife Karen (MacDonald) and their children Michael (Kara), Donald Ryan (Becky) and Michelle (Brett) Stevens. He is also survived by his brother Wayne (Kim), sisters Marlene (Wilkie) Leaver, Cindy (Timmy) Creamer, Christina (Ernie) Keenan and brother in-law Alan Thomas.

Kenny will be forever remembered by his 3 grandchildren: Dylan, Gerry, and June.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son Kevin Buchanan and sister Debbie Thomas.

Our family would like to say thank you to Shannon Whalen, Saint John Extra Mural and especially Krista for the care, support and compassion shown both to Kenny and our family.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).
