Karen Vallis Estabrooks

With peaceful hearts, we announce that Karen Vallis Estabrooks went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2025. Born in Saint John, NB, on July 1, 1956, she was the cherished daughter of the late Nicholas and Norma (McInnis) Vallis.

Karen’s love and warmth will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, David Estabrooks; her beloved son, Jonathan “Jeh” Estabrooks (Sarah); and her treasured grandchildren, Sadie, Clara, and Gabriel Estabrooks, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Karen was a woman of great kindness, known for her generous spirit, gentle heart, and infectious laughter. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother, and a loyal friend. Family was everything to her, and she welcomed everyone with open arms and a giving heart.

A lifelong animal lover, Karen shared her home over the years with many beloved pets. She also found joy in knitting, often creating tiny hats and mittens for the preemie babies at the Saint John Regional Hospital—a small act of love that reflected her caring nature.

Visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the Fundy Chapel. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
