With heavy hearts, the family of Justin David Tucker announces his passing on February 6, 2026. Justin was born on September 2, 1986, in Saint John, New Brunswick, and was the beloved son of Susan (Tucker) Lackie.
Justin proudly served his country for 13 years in the Navy as a Marine Electrician. He was deeply honoured to serve and took great pride in his work. During his service, Justin had the opportunity to travel extensively and experience many parts of the world. One especially meaningful trip was bringing his mom to Greece while he was on deployment—an unforgettable experience that Susan will always treasure. Justin’s naval career came to an end after an onboard injury, and he was medically released.
Justin had a gentle and caring nature and valued his family above all else. His mother was his best friend, and he would do anything for her and for his grandparents, Wilfred and Lois. He was easy to talk to, quick to connect with others, and the kind of person who made lifelong friends wherever he went—a true and loyal friend in every sense. Justin also shared a close bond with his brother Tyler and was always there for him.
He enjoyed playing guitar, staying active, and keeping fit. Justin also had a lifelong love of animals and shared a special connection with them; animals naturally felt comfortable in his presence.
Justin will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his mother, Susan Lackie; his grandparents, Wilfred and Lois Tucker; his brother, Tyler Lackie; his aunts Joanne Green (Steve) and Penny Pearcey (Chris); as well as many cousins and cherished friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB. A Celebration of Justin’s Life will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fundy Chapel. For those unable to attend, please click here to view the service.
