August 25, 1935 ~ January 2, 2022 (age 86) 86 Years Old

June Malloy-Prebble Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of June Malloy-Prebble announce her passing on January 2, 2022. June was born in Saint John on August 25, 1935, the eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (McGrath)March.

June was a beautiful woman with a flair for fashion. She was also smart, creative, artistic, deeply spiritual and loved to laugh. She loved to travel and gather with family. June taught ESL to immigrants, something she was very proud of. 

June loved literature and was herself an accomplished writer with a passion for poetry. Her work was published locally, she participated in live poetry readings, she was interviewed on CBC, and she wrote content for tourism brochures. June also attended poetry classes at UNB and attended poetry conferences.

June is survived by daughter, Wanda Adams (Glen), sons Bradley Lomax (Maxine), Bruce Lomax (Giselle), and James Malloy. Grandchildren Christy Bursey, Carly Adams, Aaron Adams, Tanya Lomax, Bradley Lomax, and  Christoper Lomax. Great grandchildren Miles Bursey, Noah Bursey, Nealah Adams, Adelyn Adams, Bentley Lomax, and Hailey Lomax.

June is also survived by her siblings, Evelyn Lomax, Rose Cawley, Juanita Kelson, and Gary March (Patricia).  

In addition to her parents June was predeceased by her brother Lawrence March on December 31, 2021. They’ve gone to heaven together. Also her sister Joanie March in infancy. She was also predeceased by two precious great grandchildren Hannah Porter & Jack Porter. They are reunited in heaven and her broken heart will be mended.  As well as her late husbands Lorin Lomax, James Malloy and Peter Prebble.

Her service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 7 at 2PM, with visitation from 12:30 until service time. Due to COVID-19, government protocols must be followed. All those attending the funeral are asked to call 646-2424 to register for the service.  As well, Proof of Vaccination and a piece of Government ID is required to enter.  Interment will take place in the spring.
