June Jamieson Bertrand

 It is with heavy hearts that the family of June Jamieson Bertrand announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 24, 2023. Born in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of Earl and Helen (Stuart) Jamieson.  June grew up in Saint John NB. In her early days, she made her way to the west coast where she lived in BC for a few years. Her journey back east started when June settled in Montreal where she lived an adventurous life to say the least. She continued this journey to the east coast retiring in NB with her husband Ron. June was an avid swimmer. She loved to read, antique and camp with many memories made at Sandy Sun campground in Quebec. Her true love was travelling. In the early days, that was camping around in the VW camper heading out on the road. Later it came in the form of many trips down south to Cuba with Ron, family or her girlfriends. Most of all she loved her family fiercely. Always hosting large gatherings for whatever the occasion might be. She will be sadly missed by her sons Daniel McNeil (Tricia) of Quispamsis and Stephen Whitney (Violet) of PEI; her brother Stuart Jamieson (Martha) of Saint John; grandchildren Mike and Brandon Parks, Meaghan, Peter and Katie Whitney and Jameson McNeil; as well as by many extended family members and good friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ron Bertrand and her daughter Elizabeth “Beth” Whitney. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB. There will be a Celebration of Life at the funeral home on June 4, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Donations to Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative care unit would be appreciated by the family.
