Joseph Eldon Blanchard

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Joseph Eldon Blanchard, husband of the late Theresa Mary Blanchard, announces his peaceful passing which occurred on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Turnbull Nursing Home. Born in Bouctouche, NB on May 3, 1928 he was the son of the late John and Katherine (LeBlanc) Blanchard. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son Eldon; siblings Donalda Cormier, Rose King, Leona Cormier, Dora Cormier, Elizabeth Blanchard, Tony Blanchard and Edward Blanchard.

He is survived by his loving and devoted daughters Esther Craig (Grant) of Morna and Susan Milburn (Ken) of Fredericton; daughter-in-law Lynn Blanchard; cherished granddaughters Trina Goguen (Scott) and Christa Craig (Ronald Daigle and daughter Emily) and grandson Paul Martin; great grandchildren Anthony Robicheau (Ivory), Aiden Robicheau, Alyssa and Alexis Goguen; great great granddaughter Gracie Mae Robicheau; several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

 Joe had worked for CNR winter port. He loved bowling and their bus tours, hunting with his best buds, and enjoyed all family gatherings. 

The family are extremely thankful to their extended family at Turnbull Nursing Home for their care, love and support while he lived with them. He was so content.

A celebration of life will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
