John 'Raymond' Ellis Fillmore

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John ‘Raymond’ Ellis Fillmore, loving husband of 60 years to Doris (Manship) Fillmore which occurred on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. Raymond was born on May 24, 1941 and was a son of the late Ellis and Mary Jane (Robichaud) Fillmore.

Raymond served with the Canadian Armed Forces and later worked at the Saint John Refinery in Telecommunications. The proudest moments of his life were times spent with his family and friends. He will be forever remembered and always missed by all those who knew him.

Along with his wife Doris, Raymond is survived by his children; Daryl (Toni) of South Carolina and Mark (Catriona) of Kentucky. Also left to mourn are his brother Bruce (Sharon) and grandchildren; Christian, Danielle and Brittney along with great-grandchildren; Eli, Robyn Lee and Adeline.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his sister Gertrude.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and no formal visitation or funeral service will take place at this time.

Memorial donations towards Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing or the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
