John "Jack" Stillman Wilson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of John “Jack” Stillman Wilson announce his passing on Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. Jack was born on May 8, 1936, in Saint John and was the son of the late George “Pete” and Rita (King) Wilson. Jack had a 35-year long career with the Canadian Coast Guard and when not working, could often be found building small boats.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Bette McClary; brother David Wilson; sister Adelaide Rodgerson; sister-in-law Lee Wilson; stepchildren Daniel McClary (Katrina) and Cathy Gallant (Scott); step grandchildren Erin, Heather, Kaiti and Christine; step great grandchildren Connor, Caiden and Olivia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his first wife Gwendolyn Wilson; brothers and sisters-in-law Donald (Margaret), James (Muriel) and Peter and his canine companion Jack.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Jack will remember him for his kind heart, his gentle demeanor, and his love of old country western music.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road where visitation will be held on Thursday, November 23, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Celebration of his Life will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 11am.
