John "Jack" Thorne

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of John Robert “Jack” Thorne, which occurred on Friday, December 19th, 2025, in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by family & friends.  Born on January 5th, 1956, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Roy and Bernadette Terrell (Bradford) Thorne.  Jack worked as a Painter throughout his career and was a member of The International Painters and Allied Trades Industry Union.  Jack enjoyed playing guitar and gardening with his grandson Jaxon.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jack is survived by his daughters Kendra Duke (Corey) of Saint John, Sarah Carvell (Jason) of Clifton Royal; brother Ken Thorne of Marmora, ON; sisters Carol Lee (Robert) of Saint John. Linda Lee (Edward) of Hampton; and adored grandson Jaxon who was his best friend and pride & joy; special friends – the Lyons family; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Jack was predeceased by his wife Cindy, brother Bradley and In-laws Merton & Eileen.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, December 30th from 1 to 2 p.m.  A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel beginning at 2 p.m.
